Due to California Governor Newsom's recent directive that public gatherings of 50+ people should be canceled, the Angalls and Demens 5K/10K Trail Run will now be a virtual-only event. As a result, we will not be gathering to run together on Saturday, March 28
The Angalls and Demens 5K/10K was a first-year event, organized and operated by a local homegrown company and some very dedicated volunteers, and small enough to be well under the original 250-person mandate announced last week. Our hope was just to give one more option to runners from the IE, SGV, and beyond to spend some time on the trails and share a little of what Rancho Cucamonga has to offer.
In lieu of hosting the event on Saturday, the virtual-only races will allow you to receive your bibs, participant shirts, and finisher medals and to run at your leisure. With the positive response we had for this first-year event, our plan is to be back in 2021 so that we can all run the course together.
These are unprecedented times, but we hope you still find a chance to put on your running shoes, gear up with your race shirt, secure your bib, and complete your race wherever you are. Then sport your medal and post your pic with the hashtag #AngallsandDemens to celebrate your training, dedication, and heart!

Additional race information can be found at http://www.ranchoracing.org.
Join us as we run through Angalls and Demens Canyons for Rancho Cucamonga's only 100% trail run. Set at the foot of the San Gabriel Mountains, the 5K trails are not technical (making it a good course for first-time trail runners) while the 10K features challenging climbs and areas of singletrack. Competitors will run over rocks and roots, cover multiple types of terrain, and go up (and down) some quad-burning hills. Each course provides breathtaking views of the Inland Empire, Pomona Valley, and San Gabriel Valley. No matter the distance, there's no better way to start the year than with a springtime challenge and time on the trail!
Why start the year with the Angalls & Demens 5K/10K Trail Run?
***We still plan on marking both the 5K and 10K courses for individuals interested in running their virtual race on the Angalls and Demens Trail course**
The Angalls & Demens 5K/10K Trail Run utilizes just a few of the awesome trails of Rancho Cucamonga, CA.
This trail race contains a good amount of physical challenge with elevation gains ranging from approximately 875 feet for 5K runners to over 2,200 feet for 10K runners. It is recommended that runners train for these elevation gains in the weeks leading up to the race.
Below you will find a course map for each distance and the corresponding elevation profile. Take a few moments to become familiar with your course so you are well prepared and informed. This allows you to get the most out of the experience, focus on having fun and enjoy an awesome trail race.
